Laura Robinson Bambarger
EUTAW – Laura Robinson Bambarger, age 85, of Eutaw, Ala., went to Heaven on Saturday, October 15, 2016. She died at home with our sweet Mary Byrd at her side. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2016, at Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw, Ala. with Leigh Burroughs officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be Thursday, October 20, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert; parents; four of her brothers; one sister; and other family members and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Thomas Bambarger; daughters, Laura Payne (Charles) and Rita Rhodes (Michael); son, William Bambarger (Deborah); daughter-in-law, Dorothy Bambarger; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother; one sister; and many family members and friends.
Being ""Grandmama"" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the absolute love of her life. ""Miss Tootsie"" was known for her love of flowers and the beautiful ones that she grew, her many photo albums and her wonderful cooking, especially her rolls.
She was loved by many and will be missed forever.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers are Benny Abrams, Dr. Farooqui Salahuddin, Dr. Arnold Pandey, Jean Browning, Aline Williams, Jimmy Sanders, David Sanders, David Higginbotham, Toni McDuff, Peggy Colvin, Nancy Oliver, our wonderful sitters who are now our friends, Mary Byrd, Jo Jones and Beatrice McGee, Journey Hospice especially Amanda Gibson and Leavy Burns and friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Greene County Ambulance Service.
